In We'll all burn our parents we explore how mourning and the act of childbearing can dialog and respond to each other, from the omnipresence of the dead to the uncertainty of a life to come, and back. We investigate the resonance between the tangible absence of the deceased and the silent presence of those who have not come yet. The metaphysical body-to-body dialectic is reinforced by the voice being intertwined with the mineral sound of a modular synth that was designed specifically for the performance. Both the body and the prosthesis contribute to embody the ambivalence of a chair that is both organic and artificial.
